Biografía
Dr Josep Maria Gaya is an Attending Physician at the Oncological Urology Unit.
He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the Faculty of Medicine of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and specialised in oncological urology, laparoscopic surgery and oncological surgery at Fundació Puigvert. He completed his training in uro-oncology and basic research at Columbia University, New York. He went on to train in robot-assisted surgery at the renowned Montsouris Institute in Paris.

Author and co-author of several publications in national and international urology journals.
Reviewer for national and international journals. Actas Urológicas Españolas, European Urology and International Brazilian Journal of Urology.

2009. Second prize for the best paper published in Actas Urológicas Españolas: Complex reconstructive surgery of cervico-urethral sclerosis after radical prostatectomy, due to failure of the endoscopic solution. 74th National Urology Congress (AEU), Valencia.
