Teaching and training
Our vocation for teaching
Since its creation, Fundació Puigvert has shown a clear vocation for teaching. In 1967, a ministerial order established it as a school for the specialisation of postgraduates (published in Spain’s Official State Gazette on 30 August), officially recognising the significant teaching activities of Antoni Puigvert and his team of collaborators. Over the years, this vocation for teaching has extended to other areas of teaching initiatives and training of health sciences.
The foundation's teaching activities are overseen by its healthcare and medical management, the head of which since 2022 has been Dr Patricia Fernández-Llama, , a nephrologist assigned to the Hypertension and Kidney Damage Prevention Unit.

Ongoing specialised training
Fundació Puigvert is recognised by the scientific community for its excellence in the transmission of knowledge based on the experience of its team of professionals. Every year, we make different training initiatives available to healthcare professionals in the fields of urology, nephrology, andrology and reproductive medicine, as well as cross-cutting areas, such as anaesthesiology, laboratories, clinical psychology and nursing. The course programme covers different subjects and formats and is adapted to new technologies and needs arising within the sector.
