Endourology Scholarship
The Urology Department of the Fundació Puigvert features a urolithiasis and endourology unit. This unit subspecialises in the treatment and medical-surgical management of urolithiasis. It is a high-volume centre where more than 250 ureteroscopies, 150 percutaneous nephrolithotomies and more than 1,000 extracorporeal lithotripsies are performed per year. It is also involved in several medical-surgical research programmes. The prevalence of urolithiasis is on the rise.
