Biografía
Dr Roser Torra is the Head of the Orphan Kidney Diseases Unit at the Nephrology Department and the Research Coordinator at the Nephrology Department and of the multidisciplinary teams on Orphan Diseases with the Hospital de Sant Pau. She is also the President-elect of the European Renal Association (ERA).
She graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona in 1989 and obtained her PhD in Medicine from the University of Barcelona in 1997. She completed her residency in Nephrology at the Hospital Clínic from 1990 to 1993.
She is devoted to the comprehensive care of patients with inherited kidney diseases, as well as research in these diseases, both nationally and internationally.
She is also a full professor at the Department of Medicine of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Research focused on inherited kidney diseases since 1994.
She is the author of more than 170 publications in national and international journals on inherited kidney diseases and has published over 10 book chapters.
