Biografía

Dr Iván Schwartzmann is an attending physician in the Reconstructive and General Urology Unit.

He graduated in Medicine from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and trained as a specialist in Urology at Fundació Puigvert, including a rotation at the Urology Unit of the Columbia University Hospital in New York, USA. During his residency, he obtained the Rising Stars in Urology award from the Spanish Association of Urology and the FEBU (Fellow of the European Board of Urology) title.

He is particularly interested in prostatic laser enucleation and urethral reconstructive surgery. In 2001, he presented his doctoral thesis on the histological diagnosis of prostate cancer at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.

He is the creator and manager of the YouTube channel Entre Urólogos Expertos (Among Expert Urologists) of Fundació Puigvert.

Author of 6 scientific articles published internationally.
He has participated as a speaker at many national and international conferences.
Clinical associate professor at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB).
Coordinator of teaching activities at the Urology Department of Fundació Puigvert.
Tutor for residents at the Urology Department of Fundació Puigvert.
Creator and manager of the YouTube channel "Entre Urólogos Expertos" (Among Expert Urologists) of Fundació Puigvert.

Member of the European Association of Urology.
Member of the Spanish Association of Urology.
Member of the Catalan Society of Urology. He is an active member of the benign prostatic hyperplasia working group of the latter.
Rising Stars in Urology Award from the Spanish Association of Urology.
