Biografía

Dr Carlos Errando is the Head of the Functional Urology, Female Urology and Urodynamics Unit.

He graduated in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Barcelona in 1989 and completed his Urology residency at Fundació Puigvert in 1995. In 2015, he presented his doctoral thesis at the University of Barcelona. In 1996, he took up the position of Assistant and has been the Head of the Functional and Female Urology Unit at Fundació Puigvert since 2018. 

He is an expert in diagnosis, medical and surgical treatment of urinary incontinence in men and women, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary fistulas, urinary symptoms, such as urinary urgency and frequency, neurogenic bladder, overactive bladder, as well as female urinary anomalies, urinary tract infections and pelvic pain.

Professor on the master's course in Clinical Andrology. Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Courses: 2015 – 2019.
Professor on the master's course in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy at the Ramon Llull / Blanquerna University. 2019 – 2020 course.
Author of more than 50 publications in indexed scientific journals.
He has given more than 100 lectures at national and international courses and meetings.
Guest surgeon in postgraduate courses.
Organisation of courses, workshops and seminars.

Vice President of the SINUG (Ibero-American Society of Neurology and Urogynaecology).
DGCYT research grant (PM91-0123). Usefulness of restriction polymorphism in the restriction fragments of L-myc as a prognostic factor of bladder cancer. Directed by G. Chéchile. Fundació Puigvert. 1992 – 1999.
Ponce de León Prize of the Spanish Association of Urology for the best doctoral thesis in Functional Urology (2016).
